"My
Soul Delights ..."
I woke up this morning to the first
spring rain pounding on our metal roof and splattering onto the
window panes. Thunder rolled in the distance and lightning lit up our
room. One of my first thoughts upon waking was God saying, “All My
delight is in you.”
I lay there mulling over the sweet fact that Creator of this storm
delighted in me . .
. me!
“All of My inner being, all of My
thoughts, all of My emotions, My very breath alive in you . . .
delights in you!
This storm is big, it's powerful, it's strong, it's beautiful, it's
overwhelmingly refreshing, it is wild . . . I AM unique, who can
make Me change? I, Elohim,
delight
in you. You are my Beloved because you are covered in My Son who is
My Beloved. My delight,
My passion rages far beyond the crashing storm. My emotion stirs
within My entire being and overwhelms My heart to action.”
You
, Oh God, You perform what is appointed me...
Yesterday
we visited the Door of
Hope baby rescue home. I
picked up a small baby girl and started to feed her a bottle. She ran
her fingers through my hair and softly played with my face, while
fixating her chocolate brown eyes on the visiting strangers. I looked
down at her and my heart arose with His faithfulness that stretches
to the skies, thanking Him for her life and the fact that He
delights
in the least
of these.
Sometimes
words aren't necessary. More then often they don't seem to suffice.
Sometimes He just wants to delight
in you as you walk together in a spring storm. I thank Him for the
glimpse I had of His steadfast love and delight
shinning through the life of a rescued baby.
Listen
to His cry, “Rejoice
in Me … I am rejoicing in you.”
Psalm
9:1, 10
I will
praise You, O LORD, with my whole
heart; I will tell of all
Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice
in You; I will sing praise to Your name, Elyon [O Most High] … and
those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for
You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.
